Applying to a Korean university with foreign records?

Korean universities and graduate schools that require or award credit for a DELE score, or that need a foreign transcript or diploma, generally require the document translated into Korean — not English — with certification from a Korean-registered agent, even if the applicant already has an English translation.

The 4 things to check before you submit

1. Translate to Korean, not English — "English documents are accepted without certification" in an admissions guide means the original was issued in English, not that a Spanish document translated to English qualifies.
2. Translate in Korea — a translation certified by a licensed translator abroad generally isn't recognized here; Korean law sets its own translator-qualification requirements.
3. Use a registered translation administrative agent unless the admissions guide specifically names "attorney" or "notary" — in that case it goes to a notary's 번역문 인증 instead.
4. Read the admissions guide's exact wording — it determines which of the above applies.
